{"id":246,"date":"2008-02-03T15:25:26","date_gmt":"2008-02-03T22:25:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/68ba7cb72d.nxcli.net\/blog\/?p=246"},"modified":"2008-02-03T15:25:26","modified_gmt":"2008-02-03T22:25:26","slug":"lazy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caseyandkelly.com\/?p=246","title":{"rendered":"Lazy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re sitting at home having another lazy weekend.\u00c2\u00a0 Yesterday&#8217;s the first time either of us has played a game on the Xbox since we left Austin.\u00c2\u00a0 We&#8217;ve been using the Xbox for a media center nightly but as far as games are concerned we just haven&#8217;t bothered.\u00c2\u00a0 Casey&#8217;s mission as of yesterday was to beat Assassin&#8217;s Creed this weekend.\u00c2\u00a0 The last time I looked at his achievements he had 61% unlocked so he&#8217;s well on his way as long as there aren&#8217;t any more controller-throwing induced sequences.\u00c2\u00a0 We played a little bit of Guitar Hero 3 last night and I&#8217;m pretty surprised it didn&#8217;t take us long at all to get back into things.\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s some marathon on TiVo right now and both tuners have been going nonstop for hours now.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m not really sure what its recording but at least there&#8217;ll be plenty of content on the TiVo now.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve heard that after nine hours negotiating on Friday, the writer&#8217;s strike may be ending this week.\u00c2\u00a0 Fingers crossed that actors don&#8217;t start!\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately I&#8217;m wondering how many new episodes will come out this season since hiatus usually starts in April but at this point I&#8217;ll be grateful for whatever I can get.<\/p>\n<p>Still no job yet.\u00c2\u00a0 I had been offered and accepted a position as a tech writer\/editor out at Schreiever Air Force Base as a government contractor.\u00c2\u00a0 But the Friday before the Monday I was supposed to start, something was held up with the paperwork in the interim investigation (they&#8217;re not 100% sure what but have some ideas none of which is of any significance to be performing the job).\u00c2\u00a0 The people at the company were very nice and tried to do everything they could to get around me needing an interim clearance because they were confident my full clearance would come back approved.\u00c2\u00a0 But the customer at Schreiever wasn&#8217;t able to wait the 3 months the investigation would have taken so things didn&#8217;t work out.
