So I’m not allowed to have overtime at work.\u00c2\u00a0 But this week with more problems from my favorite (I’m being sarcastic) department, I’m over by an hour.\u00c2\u00a0 I asked my boss if I could keep it or just leave early.\u00c2\u00a0 I was told that we are not allowed to leave early without completing a form to formally request to do so.\u00c2\u00a0 (Example: Next Thursday I’m leaving at 1 since we’re leaving for DC and need to get home, drop of the kids, get to the aiport, etc.\u00c2\u00a0 Even though I have the following day off and will only be down 2.5 hours for the day, I had to complete a form and submit it for authorization.)\u00c2\u00a0 My options for getting rid of my overtime since I won’t be paid for it are to take a longer lunch or come in late.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m definitely opting to come in late since Casey’s still on call and can’t meet me for lunch.\u00c2\u00a0 This is just so ridiculous.\u00c2\u00a0 I told Casey I go to the babysitter for 8 hours a day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
