As of Saturday, we are no longer Verizon Wireless customers!\u00c2\u00a0 While we did get a discount on service is was way overpriced for the sporadic coverage we got.\u00c2\u00a0 And my phone was literally falling apart.\u00c2\u00a0 I need to take a pic of my old Q because it had seen better days.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Friday, the new iPhone 3G was released and Casey called several AT&T stores in town trying to track it down until finally someone just said there are no iPhones in the Springs.\u00c2\u00a0 So Saturday we drove up to Denver with my parents to stand in line at the Apple store\u00c2\u00a0in Park Meadows for it.\u00c2\u00a0 We arrived at 9:55 (the stores didn’t even open until 10) and found ourselves in line for close to 5 hours.\u00c2\u00a0 Casey and my dad were good sports and stood in line while my mom and I shopped, stopping by every so often to check up on progress.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was waiting for Casey to make a more geeky\/techincal review of our phone but since I’ve been on him to do this since Saturday and it hasn’t happened, I figure a post from me is better than none at all.\u00c2\u00a0 Ah the iPhone, in a word, it’s awesome!\u00c2\u00a0 I no longer have to carry around an iPod and a cell phone and it’s so much more user-friendly than our Q’s were.\u00c2\u00a0 At first I didn’t think I’d like the touch screen very much, thinking I’d miss touching actual buttons.\u00c2\u00a0 Surprisingly, it has a pretty smart system for auto correcting what I type and the key to typing accurately is to use the side of your fingertip.\u00c2\u00a0 I know there are way more capabilities than I’m even using but I’m getting a lot more out of it than I did my old phone.\u00c2\u00a0 I highly recommend the phone and if you need more technical info before buying one yourself, nag at Casey until he posts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
