In my Writing for the Media class today, the instructor asked the class how many people knew what blogs were. Well only 2 of us raised our hands and both of us have blogs. I didn’t want to share my blog with everyone in the room. Don’t want to have to censor myself. She asked for us to e-mail her with our URLs so she can read them. I’m still nervous about giving that out. Maybe I should make a poll about it. Hmmm.

I went to Starbucks twice today. Luckily I only had to pay once when I went with Lindsay, the other time my parents paid. 🙂 Mom, Jim, and I went to Best Buy because today is new release Tuesday so I picked up Friends Season 5, Legally Blonde 2 (eh), and Eight Crazy Nights. Casey’s supposed to be picking up Finding Nemo while in D.C. For my Monday night class (Beg. TV Prod.) I have to be interviewed about something I’m interested in. Surprise surprise! It’s going to be on our expansive DVD collection. Once Casey gets home I’ll upload our list to DVD Profiler so everyone can see it (if they’re interested).

I’m glad to see the revolution has begun again. For those of you that don’t read Mike’s blog, HE BOUGHT A MAC! 🙂

I’m on a break between classes. As I’ve mentioned before, Mondays are my busy days. The last class of the day is from 6-10 and just seems really long and the work is fun at times but also tedious.

We didn’t receive our rental agreement in the mail today so Casey gave the leasing agent a call. Hopefully we can get this all worked out relatively quickly. I don’t want to even think about us not having this apartment.

Hopefully our revived fondness for posting will increase readership. 🙂

I’ve been having a movie marathon today. Since getting up I’ve watched the Breakfast Club, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Almost Famous. I love Kate Hudson, she is fabulous. I have two papers due this week, both of which I’ve finished. I’ve even starting working on upcoming assignments which is so unlike me since I’m usually such a procrastinator. It should hopefully make for a less stressful week or at least I hope so.

I went with my parents to Bed, Bath, and Beyond yesterday. They were in search of wedges to prop themselves up while watching their new, yet to be delivered, TV. I went to spend my gift certificate and use coupons that I had on a new duvet cover, dust cover, and pillow shams (which are on order). Afterwards, we went to Johnny Carino’s for lunch. It was pretty good, I had a salad and wine sampler(which I wasn’t carded for once again). Since I’ve been 21 I’ve only been carded once and that was 40 minutes after I turned 21 when I sat down to play my first game of blackjack. Wish I would have known all along that I wouldn’t get carded. 🙂

Well at least somebody is posting, EVERYONE has been slacking off with their blogs latley. Apparently the blogging phase has passed.

Not much been going on around here latley, last night me and a few people from work went into Georgetown for Halloween, but it was a bust, we ended up drinking in our buddies hotel room right outside of there. We finished off a half gallon of Captain’s and then some. But we all made it back to the hotel just fine…. to much time to sober up.

Work has been OK, I haven’t gotten some issues worked out so I haven’t been doing a whole lot, but its still fun anyway. I’m trying to stay busy, but hopefully everything gets worked out this week so I can actually do some REAL WORK. Hopefully I can learn some stuff so I don’t look like a chump when I actually have to go onsite and do other stuffs. 🙂

I went to the grocery store today and bought some lunch meat from the deli, and some water and other goodies, hopefully I can save a little per deim buy staying here and eating. Now I did drop like 40 bucks at a Thai restrauant tonight, because it was the first time I had ever had Thai and I wanted to try a lot of different things, plus I had two glasses of wine, but no big deal. So now I have a pantload of leftovers and some goodies from the grocery….. I will be good for days.

Not much else going on besides that. I watched 2 Fast and 2 Furious today, it actually was a kool movie, I was impressed, lots of good car races and action scenes. It doesn’t take much to please a man. 🙂

I’m sitting here right now in my Intermediate TV Production class – yawn. We’re watching some documentary footage that the groups in our class have taken. It’s snowing outside, too cold, and too early for this. I was going to go with Marla, Kindra, and Tina to see Alien at the theater but since she didn’t show up for class (surprise), guess I’ll go home and read more of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.

Last night I met Marla and friends at a haunted house. It was so lame but I had a good time laughing at Marla and Kindra. They were both terrified of the spooky people. At one point, we were walking through a maze and this guy pops out and starts getting in my face so I gently shoved him out of my face. The only part I didn’t enjoy was the guying jumping around with a real chainsaw. I don’t know if he realized he could hurt people cause he was running and twirling it around. My thoughts (as if the preceding paragraph was something else) is save your $10.

Well it’s a relief that we’re not the only ones slacking off on our website. It seems everyone is super busy lately. This is one of my rare days off that I don’t have classes.

It’s been a crazy week with assignments being due in all of my classes. And the week isn’t over yet. I have a few assingments due next week but nowhere near the amount of last week so I should be able to have a pretty relaxing weekend. I don’t have any plans for this weekend while Casey’s gone in D.C. Tonight I may go with Marla and Kindra to a haunted house that UCCS is hosting but we’ll see.

I realize that I should have posted about going to Las Vegas but Casey beat me to it. But I’ll still say a little bit. There is always free drinks if you’re gambling so don’t feel the need to get as many as possible in one sitting. There’s only so many buffets that you can eat at. Quit while you’re ahead. When the table goes cold, run away immediately. Finally, don’t get money out of the ATM when you’re drunk. We had an awesome time in Las Vegas and I want to thank everyone who came, it meant a lot and was very special and memorable.

As Casey said we found an apartment outside of Santa Monica while we were in So Cal. Last Friday night we found that we were approved to move into the apartment. It’s a relief that we have a place lined up to live in. We should be getting our rental agreement any day now. Casey and I are now discussing if we’re going to move out to LA as soon as fall semester is over or if we want to wait until after Christmas. Randi and Chris have decided the dates that they will be here so that’ll be something to take into consideration too. We just need to decide soon so that we’ll be able to give notice to our apartment manager.

On a more positive note, Happy Birthday DeJo!

It has been a LONG time since anyone has posted anything, so I figured it was about time.

We have been very very busy these last few weeks. We went to Las Vegas for Kelly’s 21st birthday, and had a great time. We stayed at New York New York, and Kelly’s folks stayed at the MGM Grand. I have to say I was not impressed with out hotel, but the MGM was pretty nice. At one point we were up about 3-400 dollars during the trip, and then one drunken night we lose almost all of it LOL. After we left Vegas we drove to Los Angeles to stay with Nicky and Jason and look for a new apartment. Well we found a GREAT place just outside Santa Monica, about 2.3 miles from the Ocean, and only like 2-3 blocks from my new job location.

Then last Saturday we left San Pedro at 10:30 at night and then drove ALL THE WAY home, we got back to our apartment at 4 in the afternoon on Sunday, and nice long 15 hour drive. Bleh.

I found out yesterday that I have to go to DC on Monday for at least two weeks. Not a big deal cause I still have some paperwork to fill out for work. Justin was talking to our buddy Brandon the other day and Brandon was under the impression that Justin got a site of his own also, but if Justin got the job he has no idea since nobody ever called to tell him so. &ltChuckle&gt

We FINALLY got our giftcard for our broken iPod from CompUSA so we decided instead of picking up a new 20GB iPod (which was the same price as our 10GB when we bought it) we picked up two new 10GB Gen 3 iPods. So now Kelly and I each have one. We are just the regular Apple family now, 2 Powerbooks, 2 iSights, 2 iPods.

Also it turns out that even though we now have an apartment in LA picked out, we won’t have to move there until sometime in December. The install date for my site has been pused back, so I can wait until Kelly finishes this semester before we head out there. Now it will suck because we will have to pay rent on both places for a little bit, but no big deal, I’m sure we can manage for a little bit.

Ok off to go see Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then Blake is coming over later for dinner and movies.

We’ll be leaving for Vegas on either Thursday or Friday for Vegas! This has been an ongoing countdown for a long time now. I feel like we have so much more to do. I tried to make a haircut today but Susan was off so I’ll either try to get one from Ulta or something or just wait till tomorrow and hope I can get in. There’s also a lot of car stuff we still need to do. I only have one class left, tomorrow afternoon. I have to direct this girl from my class through an Herbal Essences commercial. I also need to start on our laundry pretty soon.

Tonight I may or may not be an extra in a local director’s film. It’s a 50s piece, I *think* on homosexuality but it’s not resume material cause it’s extra work. I’m gonna feel bad if I don’t show up but I don’t have any clean clothes to wear and a ton of other stuff to do. For now, I’m just gonna keep watching Smallville.

Ahhh I love to be at home, I don’t get to spend much time here, and I probably won’t get to spend much more time here. I still don’t know exactly when I will have to move to LA, but probably at the end of this month. We may put a deposit down on a place when we are in LA the week after next.

We are supposed to be going down to Royal Gorge tomorrow so Kelly can help in a shoot for some TV show that her instructor is filming. But we have to meet everyone down near 8th street at 5:30 IN THE MORNING. BLEH. We may or may not be going, I suppose we will decide in the morning when the alarm goes off.

We had a great dinner with James and Lana tonight at California Pizza Kitchen, then on the way home from there we stopped at the liquor store and got two bottles of wine, a decent Merlot and a nice white.

Kelly and I picked up a pair of iSight cameras the day before yesterday at the Apple Store in the Aspen Grove shopping center in Littleton. This way we can video con while I’m in LA, and then we can video in everyone else who has Yahoo or iChat and a highspeed connection.

I think I’m gonna try and get rid of two of my desktop computers and try and upgrade the Tivo to get it working, My current PVR is being flakey and although I like being able to play my MP3z through the stero I can survive without it. Now I would get rid of the Tivo if I could afford to get a new Shuttle case then maybe build a better PVR, but……

Not much else going on besides that.

Its a lazy Sunday, just sitting here watching some football and trying to get the most online time I can. This hotel is shitty, you can only be dialed up for an hour any longer then that and they start charging you ten cents a minute. I can’t see why the company can’t book us into Marriotts. They always have high speed internet access.

I’m thinking about going to see Underworld later, there is a huge mall here in Tyson’s Corner that has a theater so I may head over there and get something to eat and check out a flick before I have to get back to the grind tomorrow.

I’m gonna be in the car ALL DAY tomorrow. First off I have to drive into the main office and pick up some hardware so we c an get this next site set up properly, then I have to drop my teammate off at one site, then I have to drive down south to Stafford (AGAIN) and finish doing backups there. Then I have to drive back up here to Tyson’s and get this site complete. Now we were only supposed to have 3 sites to do, but its starting to sound like they will stick us with one or two more sites to do here in the area. Bleh.

The good thing about being at this job so long is that they finally offered me a Field Office to work at for the next 3 years (at least). So I will be moving to LA very soon. It will be interesting no doubt, but I will be able to finish skool, and finish my MCSE. And when this contract is over I will be able to name my price. I mean Clustered Exchange Servers, Enterprise Level Acitve Directory experience. I will be worth my substanial weight in gold. Hopefully the apartment complex that I live in will have a fitness center so I can start to lose all this weight.

I finally logged onto Battle Net the other night on my Powerbook and played Warcraft with everyone at home. My Powerbook RULEZ, it plays Warcraft in 1280 X 854 resolution, WIDESCREEN BABY, I want to play more, but ya never know when a game will run over an hour so I’m kinda scared to play here.

OK I must go get ready to head out. I need to find something to eat, then go see a movie.
