So I just got off the phone with DeJo, he is doing good, still working for Clear Channel, has a new Mazda 6, working out like crazy. Maybe Kelly and I will go to New York for a weekend and see him, maybe we can go into the city or something.

Kelly picked up a data cable for our new phones today at the T-Mobile store so that we can use iSync to sync our phonebooks. I spent the last hour or two updating my address book with all the phone numbers from my old Sprint phone so it should be up to date now. Apparently even though our phones have Bluetooth, Motorola botched the implementation so iSync can’t sync wirelessly. BOOOOOOOO.

My office is going to try and hire another contractor like myself so I’m trying to get Justin on out here. Hopefully they will get their shit together and be able to open a position in a reasonable amount of time.

My Airport Express should be here on Monday or so, I used a gift certificate that I had to Amazon to pick it up. Now I can’t use it as a bridge since I don’t have an Airport Extreme base station, but I can use it in client mode and still use the wireless print server and the iTunes integration.

Well Starsky and Hutch is almost over so its time to get ready for bed.

We have been going non-stop lately. Casey passed another one of his MCSA tests, only two more to go. Hopefully the others will be just as easy.

Friday we were able to pick up the car and were stuck with the bill totaling $560 of which none was our fault. Casey went over today to take the lady a copy of the bill and she’s still standing by her story that her kids didn’t do it – it was other kids and they must have ran away before Casey caught her kids throwing the rocks. I just hope she pays so we don’t have to go through the hassle of small claims court. If you take someone to small claims court and they are found at fault, do they also end up paying for the court costs?

Friday I had two interviews with commercial agents and Saturday I had another one. Only one wanted to sign me on the spot but I’ve heard sometimes the bigger agencies will wait and ask you after everyone has had a chance to review your material. Here’s hoping, if not at least I have a commercial agent now! C’mon theatrical.

Saturday afternoon we went to a wine tasting at BevMo with Jen, an intern at Geddes, and her boyfriend, Steve. We had a good time although Casey and I have come to the realization that Sauvignon Blanc is not for us. Afterwards we tried out a new place called Zeke’s BBQ which was pretty good, but no Bryant’s. But we had a little taste of Bryant’s tonight because Casey made a pulled pork roast and we topped it off with all the Bryant’s we had left. We’ll only end up being without it for another 3 months and we’ll be able to get some more!

Saturday night we went to Nicky & Jasons’ and had a good time having dinner and a movie. And some yummy banana splits! Emily is getting SO big but I forgot my camera so sorry guys, no pix this time.

Sunday we went to T-Mobile and got new phones (Motorola V600). I think it’s more phone than I need but I can get used to it, especially with all the fun and pretty options. I’ll let Casey talk more about that if he’s so inclined.

We finally got together with Megan and Jason for a BBQ at their house. I met the other girl, Natalie, that will be running the office in the afternoons at Geddes, so it’s nice to put a faec iwth a name. We’re all brought together through Geddes.

I’m heading off to bed now, I don’t operate very well without sleep. 😉

‘Skeleton Key’ wrapped on Friday. They wanted me to stay so bad for the last day that they paid for my ticket to Las Vegas so I could join everyone that night. Miss Vegas for work, i think not!

Vegas was awesome!!! Was so much fun to share it with Julie & Matt – we’re crazy when we’re all together. We’ll be going together again or Europe, we haven’t really decided which. Until then…we’ll be in Missouri for Thanksgiving again this year. Hopefully Matt & Julie will come up again and share in all the festiivities. We’re busy jet-setting this year.

After dropping off Matt & Julie at LAX we had to take a taxi home cause the car battery was dead (although not anymore) and came home to a broken rear windshield courtesy of some Mexican kids next door. We called the cops and after waiting 3.5 horus, we got their number and are hoping they’ll help pay at least some of the $540! bill since we caught the kids throwing the rocks that now surround our cars. We’re down to one car again which makes for interesting days, transporting each other around.

Got my hair cut, colored, and highlighted at an Aveda salon today. It looks really good. I went for Jessica Simpson highlights and it turne dout really well. Not a drastic change but I can tell a difference. It’s nice paying someone to do it right, versus me possibly botching the job and ruining my hair with box color.

Tomorrow Casey is getting another one of his Microsoft certs so luckily I don’t have to work till the afternoon shift. I’ll now be working at Geddes permanently in the mornings starting next week, unless I have auditions or something comes up, in which case another one of the actress/assistants will be covering. The role I auditioned for a couple of weeks ago (or should I say one of them, I auditioned for 3) for a Loyola Marymount student film, I was informed I got today! Maybe I really can act. 😉 Megan, was Taft Hartley’d into SAG so we’ll be members together. Congrats to Megan on her lead role in ‘Three Bad Men’ coming soon to a theater or video store near you. Don’t forget your friends. 😉

I managed to get tickets to the premier of ‘Alien vs. Predator’ in Hollywood next Thursday. I know it makes Casey happy and that’s why I’m going. I also got tickets to the screening of ‘Little Black Book’ but with work and all the shuffling back and forth we won’t be able to make it. However, I think I can wait till that one gets to Netflix, but you can’t beat free tickets!

Well I just wrapped up my first session of Doom 3 and I have to say it is a GREAT game. It is very suspenseful and scary, I jumped a couple of time when things popped out from under the stairs at me. I took a few screenshots while playing and uploaded them into the Gallery. For anyone that is a fan of FPS games I highly recommend this game. My Geforce 4 Ti 4600 did OK at playing the game, but I do believe that an upgrade might be in the cards once HL2 is released that way I can play both games at High Quality. But right now I’m playing at 800X600 at Medium Quality and the game still looks great.

I have lots more updates to post but not right now, I’m getting ready to make some dinner and maybe watch a movie.

I just picked up a pair of B-Boys tics off of Ticketmaster. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! Grrrrrr. Oh well I have been trying to see them for a few years now. I had tickets to go see them in Atlanta in ’98 but I got screwed out of going by my supervisor at that time. Kelly and I should start going to more shows, there are always good bands playing in and around LA.

Work just kicked my ass yesterday, we were repairing a Domain Controller at one of our offsites and we had to restore some files from tape, as a side thought I restored the System State which includes the boot files, registry, Active Directory and the SYSVOL. For those that dont know Windows Server environments, the SYSVOL is the System Volume that houses all of the data that corresponds to Active Directory such as Group Policies and Scripts. Anyway I wasn’t aware that once you modify the contents of the SYSVOL it automatically replicated to ALL other servers in the domain. I assumed it was like every other aspect of FRS (File Replication Service) and instead of publishing the contents it went out and pulled down all the new data. Well apprently once my DC was rebooted into Active Directory mode it began publishing the contents of its SYSVOL to every server around the world that is a member of our domain. YIKES!!!!!! SO to make a LONG story short I corrupted some Group Policies that affected everyone. SO now I’m 2 for 2 for screwing up BIG. Oh well, I’m still learning and I have a lot of servers to try and maintain around here.

I finally scheduled an MCSE test for next week, I figured that I should get that done soon, so that I can get them paid for by my company. I’m taking 70-215 which should be easy, I might study a little, but since I have been working with it and messing it up on a regular occurence I should be OK.

I don’t know if I like working 4 10-hour days, it makes for a very long day. But at least I have tomorrow off, and I decided to take vacation time on Monday for I will have a nice 4 day weekend to spend with Matt and Julie while they are here. Hopefully the weather will be nice and hot on Monday so we can go to the beach. That will be great because then we can go to Seal or maybe Venice and not have to wory about the weekend crowds or traffic.

Yesterday I saw Bobby D (Robert De Niro) and Leonardo Di Carprio at Universal!!! And Chris Robinson again, there were some guys with him (maybe the rest of the Black Crowes?). That’s my news.

Finally B-Boys tickets are going on-sale for the their “To The 5 Boroughs” tour, they are going to be playing at the Long Beach Convention Center on Sept 14, and KROQ is having a pre-sale for tickets. So I’m gonna try and score some tickets to see one of my favorite bands.

Kelly has been working some crazy hours lately, 12+ and I have been working some long hours as well trying to make up extra hours to make up for taking Friday off. Today I had to replace a backplane, RAID controller, daughter boards and some cables on one of my servers, so I have been staying very busy, so right now I’m exhausted.

I had a whole bunch of stuff that I was going to post about but of course I can’t remember anything. I guess its time to go to bed.

Today Casey and I went to the wrap party for ‘Skeleton Key’ at Zuma Beach in Malibu. It took AWHILE to get there because it was such an awesome day and everyone wanted to be at the beach. You couldn’t beat the view, free drinks and food. There were only like half a dozen people I recognized and only 2 people that I talk to on a regular basis that were there but Casey got a first hand glimpse of Kate Hudson and Gena Rowlands so he knows I’m not lying about where I go every day. 😉

Busy week this week. I didn’t even get a full weekend off – I had to go in and work 8 hours yesterday. My call time is 7:30 tomorrow and I’m still exhausted so I’ll be heading to bed now.
