Work is sucking all the life out of me. I’m just glad that I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon and will get the afternoon off, plus Monday is a holiday so another LONG weekend for me.

I think Justin is going to get the gig out here working in the office with me. I’m in dire need of another person who knows their way around servers. If anyone out there with a clearance and wants a job and would be interested in possibly moving to San Francisco or DC let me know cause there is work to be had.

Right now I’m reading about Unattended.txt and Sysprep.inf creation so I can pump out a master Windows XP image that I can throw onto just about any piece of hardware at work and have it work. I’m getting pretty good at the Sysprep part but I want to figure out how to install applications using Unattended.txt. I only hope that I can configure McAfee Viruscan for an unattended installation.

OK its time for bed, I think I might actually go to the gym in the morning. I have been slacking this week, long hours make for bad workouts.

Well even though I haven’t posted in a couple of days and we’ve been hacked since then – our site is still up. 🙂 I don’t know if the problem has been fixed but we’re not going anywhere – where else could keep in touch with everyone?!

We didn’t take very many pictures while Justin was out here so I’m waiting on the pics of Casey and I and Justin and Casey before I’ll add new pics so I can do it all at one time.

Let’s see, yesterday I got invited to go to the Playboy mansion for their annual Halloween party with my co-worker, Brenda. I don’t know if I want to go or not, I’d feel a little lacking in some areas but I guess she said most of the people will be in the same class as she and I and there’s nothing to feel bad about, so we’ll see. If not, I guess there’s this huge Halloween party in West Hollywood where they close down several blocks and it’s just one big party in the street. So that’s another possibility. I’m a big dork and I kinda want to go to the Queen Mary Shipwreck haunted house/maze/whatever but it’s kinda steep at $30pp.

Korn tickets go on pre-sale Saturday so following John & Alison’s lead we may go to that. Casey can pay me with a super cute coat too! 😉

Still no word on what we’re doing for my birthday. We’re kinda waiting on James & Lana (hint hint) to decide if they’re going to Vegas, if so we’re SO going, if not we’ll probably just go to dinner (Megan are you off this day too?).

Well it’s 7 now so I can officially go home since I’m the only one here anyway. If I think of anything else, I’ll post again when I get home.

Well we were hacked AGAIN. I must be the worst webmaster (I don’t really think I can call myself that) in history.

Somebody tell me what I’m doing wrong here that is allowing people to get in and create admin accounts in Nuke its getting expensive to update it to the bleeding edge with each new revision, and I just don’t have the desire to spend the time trying to figure out how to write a CMS system from scratch. So if this happens again (which I’m sure it will) I will probably just take the site down. Or maybe just go back to the old frames layout hacked together in notepad. I really hate this site now anyway so I’m looking for any excuse I can to really stop maintaining it, almost there I guess.

I feel like screaming a long list of obscenities right now but we have readers with sensitive ears (eyes?).

My job has been driving me crazy lately, everyone is SO lazy that the amount of work that I have to do just continues to climb and climb. I’m now in charge of three separate Active Directory projects, only because the people I work with (minus a few exceptions) are all flaming idiots (I suppose I’m in that group when it comes to web authoring). The only light at the end of the tunnel would be that I’m trying to get Justin a job in my office to spread the workload around a little more, and to get someone else with a clue in there to help me train the monkeys. Although with all the work I have put in this year I have impressed a few important people, so hopefully when raise time comes around this year I will be looking at about 5 or 6K.

I spent most of the evening besides watching football, reading about OTA “Over the Air” HDTV, I decided that if I can easily run a coax from the roof of the building down to the apartment I can get about 12-13 HD channels from all of the local broadcasters for only about 500 bones or so, apparently Radio Shack carries some good antennas that work well for capturing DTV broadcasts, so the only thing that I have to put some thought into would be a ATSC HD Receiver. I would really like an HDTiVo, but I can’t drop that kind of change, I think Zenith (LG) makes one for about 150 that will get the job done, but its fairly low end, and will look out of place once I get my new Home Theater Receiver. Either way I’m going to get one soon, I have had this damn TV for nearly two years now and it has not seen a true HD signal yet, plus watching football on Sundays in HD would just make my weekends.

i finished ‘Fight Club’ and ‘Little Earthquakes’ today. Both were just ok. I expected mor from Jennifer Weiner and Fight Club the morning is so much more visual and accurate than the book and much easier to follow. Am still finishing up the Order of the Phoneix and Fashionistas.

Yesterday we went to Santa Monica to Third Street and the beach. There were quite a few people on the beach even though it was pretty breezy but the sun was out so it was probably warm if you were just laying there taking a nap or something. We bought a mirror for our bedroom at ZGallerie so now we only need one for the living room from Expo and the decorating will be complete for now. We got up super early this morning to take Justin to the airport. We made it to the airport and back in 20 minutes. That’s what it should take (note to LA City Planners or transportation or whoever can make this happen again). Then we went back to bed and have been watching football all day. Nothing exciting happening here, Justin has a lot to talk about regarding his vacation.

Justin got here this afternoon and we’ve just been chillin all day. We saw Jason Mewes (Jay of Jay & Silent Bob from Kevin Smith movies) today while on the street and then again in the Secret Stash. Pretty cool! Only went to the gym once but hopefully we’ll go again tomorrow so we won’t have to skip completely. I don’t know what it is with TV this season, the writing is so awful, even on reality shows like Survivor it’s just boring and going nowhere. I know it’s only the third episode but it’s not looking good. We just finished watching ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ which was alright. Too much hype around it, it was ok and had it’s moments but not as good as Justin and Casey think it is. If they choose to comment than they can have their opportunity.

I had my first dentist appointment in four years today and have no cavities! The hygenist was digging at my teeth just like at Casey’s but luckily she attributed my gums bleeding to my birth control pills. I grind my teeth really baed when I sleep. So bad that sometimes I wake Casey up when I do it. I’m having a pre auth sent to the insurance company to see how much they’ll cover cause it’s $600 otherwise.

Casey found out today that he has lowered his cholesterol considerably (269 to 206) but the doctor is still putting him on Lipitor. Casey’s doing awesome lowering his weight he’s gone from 205 when he placed his bet down to 192.8 tonight. He’s gotta win that bet! 😉 I, however, am not doing as good. Damn this retaining water. This afternoon Casey got his California drivers’ license and registered to vote. I’m sending in our requests for permanent absentee ballots tomorrow. I can’t imagine what the line at the polls is going to be this year, especially with the population elsewhere around this city.

I received ‘Little Earthquakes’ today. I need to put it on my laptop and make copies for Alison and Megan, then I’m gonna relist it. Haven’t started listening to it yet because I’m still listening to Harry Potter.

I don’t remember if I posted about this earlier or not but we watched ‘The Cooler’ this weekend. It was alright it kept my attention for the most part but I wouldn’t want to buy it. Side note: Maria Bello has a flat, mishapen ass. I watched ‘Barbershop 2’ yesterday it was pretty disappointing. The first one wasn’t that good but at least there were more funny parts than this. It was overpublicized crap.

I read yesterday that Paris Hiltons’ tape that was stolen out of her Hollywood Hills home last summer is supposed to be resurfacing again soon. I guess the publicity whore has decide she’s not getting enough attention and needs to make another tape to get stolen. Then I guess there’s this site where girls are putting political messages on their naked bodies to show their support for their party.

Today’s my Friday since Justin’s coming in tomorrow. I’m getting the weekend started by drinking a glass of chard and watching Smallville (the writers are not doing so hot this season, aside from the flying of course). I have the latest episode of The Apprentice set to record next. I want to see how it is before I rearrange my TiVo schedule to record it. This’ll be a first for Casey and I – we’re gonna see what all the hype’s about.

… just so you know I haven’t abanoned the site. I worked today and came home and just cleaned and did schoolwork. I haven’t caught up with as much as I’d like but I’m such a procrastinator and always work better under pressure. I seem to have turned in to the destinated door buzzer person or whatever. Whenever there’s a delivery or service person downstairs they always buzz my number to have me let them in. I’m gonna stop letting them up because they’ve been getting pushy and rude about it and they’re not even there for me so what do I care?! Um, yeah nothing else to say for now.

We had a pretty uneventful weekend. It was nice and relaxing, no worries. We went to Chili’s and had the evil buffalo chicken salads on Friday. Yesterday Casey had to go in to work for awhile and then last night we went by Home Depot (we’re so domesticated 😉 to get some weather stripping to hopefully block out noise from the mexicans and to stop bugs from coming in here. Today we had Megan, Jason, Vic & his wife, Keiko, and their daughter Layla over for lunch and some football. Sorry to disappoint but not much else to say.

I really need to take my Powerbook to Apple and get the CD player/burner fixed. I haven’t been able to burn CDs with any consistency since May. Today I went by the library and picked up Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix on CD and am trying to put it into iTunes so I can listen to it on my iPod. I managed to get the first 3 CDs onto my computer before realizing I had already read all the chapters on those discs. Blonde moment. I did manage to get 1 CD put on my machine before it freaking out and spinning up and not ejecting. I have resorted to putting them onto Casey’s Powerbook (much faster anyway) and then I’ll just bluetooth them over.

I checked out 7 other books – one of which I’ve already read, Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy. I’ve been only the waiting list since it came out so like 4 months now. It has her usual sense of hilariously, gross humor and retells the true story of her pregnancy. Funny but scary stuff. Quick read as it’s only 165 pages. I’m attempting to listen to The Gunslinger. It’s not keeping my interest much right now but then again, I’m only in chapter one. I hope it’s not like The DaVinci Code, where there was so much hype that it was disappointing to read. I think I’m gonna start reading Fight Club next. Yes, I said reading – it’s by Chuck Palahnjuk who also wrote Diary which according to Marla is a pretty good book.
