Updates?

Well we survived Hawaii and the associated plane trips. And now its back to the grind.

I will post some pics as soon as I sort through them and resize them. But the trip was great. The weather in Hawaii is incredible its about 80 something every day. Our hotel was fantastic. Our room was indeed an ocean facing room. Hell we were so close to the water I could throw beer bottles in the water from our balcony. Maui was great, but you can definitely tell that the only major businesses there are sunburns and tourism. I think there was ONE Wal-Mart that serviced the entire island ( unlike Colorado Springs which has like 8 or 9). I ate more fish then I ever have in my life. Which I think was a cause of my minor case of food poisoning that I developed the next to last day that we were on the island.

Probably the best thing that we experienced on the island in my opinion was the whale watching. We took a two hour cruise out into the water and got to get up-close with a few of them. I took a ton of pics but they don’t really do any justice to just how amazing it was. It really makes me want to invest in a Digital SLR. I did get a couple of shots of whales swimming directly under our boat but they are a little hard to make out.

I did see a black sand beach for the first time and it was great, the signs all around the beaches that say “Beware of jellyfish and man-of-war” those are a little disconcerting but its still kool.

I’m not very good at remembering specifics so I will leave that to Kelly but I will do a few pics for now.

Back to work…..

EDIT: I added some photos to a new album in the Gallery…Check it out HERE
