I did it

I went and saw Matrix Revolutions on the IMAX. I wasn’t disappointed because I went in with lowered expectations. For those of you that haven’t seen it, let me just say this: the end is pretty inevitable considering Neo is “the one”.

After the movie, we all (the family minus Casey and Marvin) went to Ruby’s Diner. I’ve been to the one in Redondo Beach twice and this one was a bit of a letdown. The prices are higher than Chili’s and they don’t include fries. The menu is much more limited than the extensive 4 pages or so that the one in R.B. has. I was really looking forward to this sandwich that has feta cheese (mmm feta) on it. The servers also need to estimate the waiting time a little better. When we put our name on the list, they said it’d be 15-20 minutes. Well 45 minutes later we were being seated. Then 3 different waitresses came by before we could order. Maybe after the newness has faded I’ll go back (if we’re still here). The food is decent but for the price, location, and extras Red Robin might be a better alternative.

Yesterday my mom and I went to the mall. Yes, again. I had some birthday money I wanted to spend and she my loyal shopping buddy. I bought a red Nine West purse at Foley’s for…$5.99. I’m glad I waited to catch it on sale!

We had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, which we are both now boycotting due to the price. We order the salad bar and it was $7, then I was looking forward to getting French Onion soup too but that was another $3. I think $10 for soup and salad at a chain is a little much. We ordered margaritas which were sickly sweet and lacked any alcohol. Cough syrup has more alcohol and tastes better.

Back to shopping. I bought this super cute tart burner at Yankee Candle Company. I’ve been waiting for a style I like and I found one so I had to buy it right then. Next we went to American Eagle where they were having awesome deals. I found a pair of cargos on the clearance rack, a sweater, and a pair of jeans. I got a $15 gift card free for use in December, 10% off two of the items, and a half dozen assorted coupons for the next 2 months! Can’t complain about that. Old Navy was actually having a pretty big sale…again. I tried on a shopping cart full of stuff, probably 24 things. (I’m just guessing cause the max number was 8 and I walked out to exchange stuff at least twice.) So more new clothes. I’ve satisfied for now. There’s only two things left in the whole store (Old Navy) that I’m still interested in buying.

We left the mall and checked out Shoe Carnival cause I saw an ad for this huge sale on tv. The selection is very limited so I’m gonna hold out for a Famous Footwear sale. I’m a sucker for a sale!

I found out on Friday that the Guiseppe’s commercial I’m in, is now airing. I don’t know what station or at what time but Marla’s trying to figure it out. I’m on my way to being a SUPERSTAR!!!
