Drumroll please…

It’s taken me awhile to muster up the patience and wits to write this post because I knew it’d be so long and even still I don’t think I can post everything tonight because it’d go on forever and you know, I really don’t want to stay up THAT late. So anyway a brief overview of everything that’s gone on and more frequent updates now that school’s out and I’m in town. I promise. 😉

I finished up all of my assignments before I left for Iowa last Friday (more on that later). This semester really kicked my ass and I was pleased when the final grades were posted yesterday (not posting +s, -s, but just straight letters cause I can’t remember not because i’m embarassed). The results are as follows: (1)A and (3) Bs. Alright I can deal with that! Especially after all the trauma from this semester. I’m glad I’ll have a brief reprieve before buckling down for the last two grueling semesters.

As Justin posted, Wal-Mart and Netflix DID join forces. As a former Netflix subscriber and current Wal-Mart subscriber I was pleased to come back to Netflix at my discounted Wal-Mart rate…for a year anyway. We debated between Netflix and Blockbuster since Wal-Mart will no longer be renting DVDs and decided to go back to reliable Netflix. Although in L.A. a lot of DVD managed to get lost in the mail but that might have been our incompetent mailman. Good news is that my queue gets transferred over too.

The real estate market is out of control everywhere (well, except Iowa. Casey and I were considering buying a subdivision there. LOL) We read in our lease and found out that we’ll only have to pay a month’s rent penalty to break our lease (which was supposed to be up in Decemeber) so getting in on the real estate game NOW is a SERIOUS consideration. Rachel’s mom, Wendy Flowers (for those in the area that need an agent), will be helping us find something close to Rachel (we hope) and we’re going down there this weekend to start scoping out the area and houses!

Yoga info following: Yoga is awesome! I can’t believe I didn’t find this sooner. i seriously need to start working on it more and I can definitley see improvements in my body already. ESPECIALLY my abs. I’m considering taking the next class in this series IF we’re still living in the county and haven’t bought a house yet. It’s challenging but at the same time relaxing and centering if that makes any sense.

I watched a couple of movies yesterday and have to say I wasn’t impressed with either. ‘Win a Date with Tad Hamilton’ although starring yummy Josh Duhamel (aka Danny) lacked any real story and was just puffery. ‘Vanity Fair’ on the other hand I couldn’t even make it through even with my love for Reese (sorry Alison). She tried to pull off an unconvincing British accent (although I admit I couldn’t do any better) and it was just well, boring). We still have several DVDs to watch: The Stepford Wives, Finding Neverland, In Good Company, Thirteen Days and Hero. I odn’t know if we’re gonna end up watching Star Wars or not in the theater but the new Batman shows promise.

Finale week: The Amazing Race finally ended last week and we were seriously disappointed to see annoying couple Uchenna and Joyce win. Casey and I are HUGE Rob & Amber fans (who won SO many more legs than everyone else) so we were yelling at the TV for the injustice of it all! Survivor made up for it though. After Stephenie got voted off (our fav) we rallied behind Tom and he didn’t disappoint. It’s nice to actually see the strongest person on the tribe win instead of getting picked off in favor of the followers. The Smallville finale was a mini-action movie and Lana and Clark finally professed their love to each other. The whole witch storyline with the Teagues finally ended at long last. Lex is finally turning evil which is an expected turn. It wasn’t as good as the last finale but Smallville needs to prove itself since this season left something to be desired and especially since the brainiacs at the WB have decided that it would fare well againt Survivor (??). I was hoping that it would move back to Tuesdays and free up our Wednesdays for Lost which we plan on catching up with during the summer because EVERYONE raves about it.

No wings this week. 🙁 Beer made a nice accompaniment to my ice cream but other than that, I was spared from fixing dinner once again.

Stoli is doing good. She’s learned to attack feet and will bite Casey’s on demand now. She realizes that I am much to sensitive and fair of a being to attack. 😉

I haven’t updated on Iowa because more happened than I had planned and it’s gonna be quite the ordeal to post without making it pages long. Stay tuned…power hungry cops, Mormons, and strippers…wait no alcoholic Mormon sleepwalking to come…
