Belated Anniversary

We just got back from our official anniversary dinner at The Melting Pot. Casey told them when he made reservations that what we were celebrating and we scored a secluded booth that brought us lots of envious glances. Our first experience with fondue was a good one! For the cheese course we picked some mexican spicy dish but plan on bringing a can of hot Rotel if we go back cause it wasn’t to our usual level of spiciness. We ordered California salads which came with a tasty raspberry vinegarette and not some sugary sweet nastiness like they serve at Guiseppe’s. Then we got the surf n’ turf for our entree. After all that food before I was only able to eat two pieces of lobster and a piece of steak (which was awesome, very tender) before I was too stuffed to move. I ended up doing the rest of the “cooking” so Casey could take advantage of this rare opportunity to eat red meat. I think we’re gonna go try to find some buffalo meat so we can partake in the goodness of bloody meat again. It was very romantic, especially with the secluded booth. To my disappointment I was too stuffed to get the $14 desserts they had. I told Casey that they had built a Melting Pot in the Springs on Pikes Peak (meaning Ave., St., Rd., etc.) but he thought I meant ON Pikes Peak and was like oh, that’s a good location. 😉

Nothing’s on the agenda for tomorrow or Monday so we’ll probably catch up on the 6 movies we have yet to watch that are either from Netflix or borred from Rachel. We’re part of the majority that prefers watching movies at home versus at the theater and I’m sure we will even more so after we get a new home theater setup.
