Driving to Denver Part 1

So the new transmission is in the truck, and Kelly and I tried to go drive to
Denver to go to Baja Fresh Mexican Grill. We got about as far as Larkspur when
something started to go wrong. The transmission was acting like it was coming
out of Overdrive and wouldn’t shift back up to a higher gear. So we turned around
and came back home. We did stop at La Casita on the way back here. It isn’t nearly
as good as Baja Fresh but it was OK.

We watched About a Boy, and now we are watching this evenings episodes of Seinfeld.
After this we are going to watch The Road to Perdition.

The website was down for a quite awhile today. Adelphia is so unreliable. If I
could get this kind of bandwidth with DSL I would probably be using that.

We are having some real trouble with Kelly’s Powerbook and the wireless network.
Right now I have the hard line in it now so it is wired directly to the router.
I tried rebooting it but to no avail. I don’t know what it is, could it be that
the Airport Extreme card is going out, or its getting hot and malfunctioning.
The Powerbook does get hot enough to keep you warm on those cold cold nights,
but don’t you think that Apple would have tested for this type of scenario?

Now all my computers are freaking out. My damn PVR is going crazy my TV application
is locked up and I can’t kill it. IT JUST WON’T DIE!!! So right now I’m rebooting
it. I finally created a .bat file today that I scheduled to shut down the computer
every night after Howard Stern is over. So that should keep the computer from
running all night long. I wish there was an auto boot-up though, that would be
really nice. When Kelly and I are away I could schedule boot-up and shut down
and not have to worry about blowing another power supply while I’m gone.

OK off to watch a movie.
