We’re getting even more snow this weekend.  Ugh.  It snowed Friday, then cleared up.  Snowed and then warmed up yesterday to a balmy 43 which melted most of the snow from the deck.  And then today it snowed yet again and pretty much all day.  I’d say we have at least a good 3-4 inches.  I’ve been perusing the various local TV websites and have read about tons of accidents and how we’re in such and such warnings.  I’m hoping that it just keeps on snowing at this point.  There’s already been enough snow and freezing temperatures that the roads are going to be treacherous tomorrow and I’m just not looking forward to that.  Depending on how things are overnight, I’ve got my fingers crossed I might be able to put that VPN to good use and work from home tomorrow.  Although I figure that’s probably unlikely and I’ll just have to get up earlier to make it in on time.

Dude was supposed to have another vet appointment to look at his paw tomorrow.  The receptionist at the vet said she would call to let Casey know what time to bring him in on Saturday but that call never came.  So hopefully some time this week we’ll know what’s going on with his paw.  Having to monitor his every move so he (or Stoli) doesn’t chew on the bandage and wrapping it up with Press N’ Seal is such a pain I’m ready for it to be over.  As far as the swelling from his surgery is concerned, its gone down for the most part.  He’s still a little pink but as much as can be expected so I think he’s doing pretty good considering.

Earlier Justin posted about starting a garden and I’m super jealous.  We started trying to grow some things last summer (cilantro, jalapenos, oregano, and basil) but nothing really thrived here and just turned into weeds after several weeks.  The jalapenos didn’t pepper at all and we were pretty disappointed with that.  Then the azaleas that my boss bought for me on my first day have already died.  I’ve followed the directions explicitly but I guess with all of the overcast days and the temperature swings, even inside, they just weren’t able to survive.  I’m hoping that my bulbs start blooming soon.  I forget what all we planted in the front yard but I know we should have at least tulips and daffodils.  It was so pretty last year when they were coming up even despite the snow but unfortunately because of the temperature swings, even through May, they don’t last quite as long as I would like.
