Really and Truly

Every day in my office there’s a guarantee all of the above phrases will be said at *least* once a day.  Buyer 1 – “Really and truly.”  Buyer 2 – “Does that make sense?”  (Warning: Do not have a conversation with this person because anything they say, even the most basic of things is guaranteed to be followed up by this.)  Buyer 3 – “Oh, well sure.”  Buyer 4 – Not necessarily a phrase from this one, more like bad grammar all the time.  Example: When talking about passport photos she said, “It can’t have no background.”  Grammar nazi that I am, I have to bite my tongue all day, every day.  Someone says “Hey, Georgia.” This is the purchasing secretary (and yes, her title is secretary not admin assistant) and her guranteed response is “That’s me today and I’ll let you be (fill in the blank with your own name).  Every.  Day.  Who talks like that?

As is typical with any daycare, the usual suspects are present at mine.  There’s the crier, the tattletale, the bully, and the child who throws temper tantrums.  And of course many of these titles are applicable to the same person.  So, who am I in that group you ask?  Not one of those listed above that’s for sure, I guess if anything I’m the spoiled one.  Spoiled because I’m used to being treated as an adult and not babysat all day long.

Five and a half hours left and the weekend begins…
