As of Thursday, our house was officially on the market. Well the contract with our realtor was signed, but it wasn’t until Friday that it was on MLS and sign was in our yard. Like an hour after the sign was out, one of our neighbors walked down here and asked how much we were selling our house for and telling us they had the same floor plan and were looking for their sister-in-law. Thus far, we’ve had two showings, one on Saturday and another last night. We’ve gotten positive feedback from both showings saying that our house showed like a model and was priced appropriately. Unfortunately we haven’t received an offer from either of the showings – the first people wrote a contract on a house for $15K less and there was some talk today that they weren’t qualified for the amount of our house and the other people have only seen our house and one other thus far so had just started looking. I suppose we’re not doing too badly considering the photographer just came out this afternoon. Now our house is listed on the local MLS and will be on Realtor.com and other sites as of tomorrow. I know I value pictures when I’m looking at properties and I’m sure others do too!
I’m praying right now that our house sells quickly and for the highest amount possible so we can get on with things and not be apart from Casey any longer than absolutely necessary.
