I think i posted about seeing one of these at the corner of Wilshire and Veteran about a month or so ago, and then this evening I saw the article about it on the LA Times website. Now if only I could come up with 500K. The thing i didn’t notice when looking at the car was who was driving it. At that large of a pricetag it must have been someone with quite a bit of extra scratch to pick up one of these. This car sounds amazing, and the acceleration is incredible, this car shot off the line like a bullet (but from the article it sounds like you have to or else stall the engine.).

I think someone needs to make a few million dollars…. &lt wink &gt

We were on a roll there for awhile with posting, but there hasn’t been anything new happening of late that is worth posting about.

I think we are going to rent a car for the trip to Vegas in two weeks. Kelly found a coupon in our Entertainment book for cheap rates on SUVs so maybe we can score a convertible to cruise around Vegas at night (any other time it will be to damn hot).

I will probably be upgrading my TiVo very soon, one of the guys in my office managed to screw his up by hooking his TiVo drive up to his PC and then booting into XP. Whenever XP boots up and detects a new HDD it writes data to the drive that will corrupt a TiVo drive. SOOO we are going to take my TiVo drive and dd it over to his drive or upgrade both of our TiVo’s to 120GB drives (since they are on sale at Fry’s this week).

Really not much else going on, Kelly and I have both been putting in some long hours this last week or so.

Just added some pix from our trip to Missouri.

Kelly and I went and checked out Spiderman 2 this evening at the ArcLight in Hollywood (just down the street of Justin’s old apartment). I thought it was great, and it stayed fairly true to the original comic story-line.

We stopped by Target before the movie and we picked up a small gas weber grill that will fit under our sink when we aren’t using it. They just can’t keep the white man down. I’m going to grill something no matter what “The Man” says.

I think we are going to go to the beach tomorrow, see if we can get the tan going again. We were hanging out at the beach in February and March, but haven’t been in a long time, and then with “June Gloom” it was to cool to hang out on the beach. But we actually turned the air conditioning on today cause it was about 81 in the apartment.

i really didn’t have anything interesting to put down (because I’m usually very insightful &lt snicker &gt) just felt like posting something so that it didn’t appear that we were slacking.

We went and watched Spiderman 2 tonight at Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. It’s stadium seating but really lame cause it’s assigned seating but the seats are comfy. Other negative things are the price ($14.00/ticket) and the popcorn was stale and small. Won’t be going back there. The movie was a lot better than I expected, it had both a good storyline and special effects. Nice job not overdoing the CGI in places.

Went to Target and bought a grill and other essentials. We settled on a gas grill that will be easily transported and stored. We’re planning on going to the beach and the commissary tomorrow and then trying that grill out. Mmm good.

As far as work goes, the annoying and negative hand double from Skeleton Key was fired. Kate ok’d my hands saying they looked like hers so on Friday morning the studio paid $200 to put nails on me. So I’m now Kate’s photo (aka body) and hand double. Too bad it’s not double the pay. The SAG rep came around on Friday and wanted to talk to me to tell me more about SAG and put a face with the name she’s heard. Good times!

So Justin (not the elite hacker) sent me a link to a new movie by Liions Gate called “Saw”. Well since I’m a big fan of Seven I figured this movie would be really kool. So I have been scoping for new trailers for it and found a kool one here. Not that is the high quality trailer so if you are on dial-up don’t even try.

So the site is almost 100 percent again, there are still a few bugs that I have to clean up. It turns out improper permissions set on my config.php file allowed the hackers to a username and password for my site and thus change some values in the code. So if you scroll down into the older articles and look for my name you will read “hacked” instead. They changed my author ID value (aid) in the database so I have to go back and upate all of those values. But other then that its just about done.

OK its time to go to Van Nuys. Bleh work.

Ok so it looks like things are back to normal (were they ever normal?). I’m to lazy to change the look of the site, besides i fear change. The question that I want to propose is this:

How important is personal website security to you?

I know a lot of people that keep and maintain sites of their own, but is getting hacked a big deal? I mean other then the slight annoyance, it actually got me motivated to upgrade to Nuke 7.3 and actually made the developers of Nuke 10 dollars (I actually felt good after buying it and supporting the developers). So we keep our sites to talk about work, post pictures, rant about work, keep in touch with family, bitch about work, but how sad would you be if you actually lost some or all of the data? When I was restoring our database we only had about 600K of actual text after a little more then a year of using Nuke. How important are these rants to me? One of these days I will get sick of maintaining the site and paying for the hosting and domain, what am I going to do with this data in 10 years?

So I think i finally have the user accounts working so feel free to sign up for one and leave some comments, or don’t…. I really don’t give a shit.

Goin’ From Mic To Mic Kickin’ It Wall To Wall

Well we were HACKED in the night by two I337 hax0rs. Congratulations. This finally motivates me to upgrade the site. It has been more then a year since we have had a new layout or anything. At least they didn’t delete the database or anything like that. Our domain name registration has come due as well. Booooooo.

So I’m signing off for now, I have to go to work. Unfortunately I don’t have a month off to redesign the site like I did last time.

Well I’m working on reloading the site using PHP-Nuke 7.3. I’m to incompetent and lazy to work on on a built from scratch site, so I coughed up the 10 dollars for the download. I think I have most of the old comments and text inserted into the new database tables, but if their are any issues hopefully I will have the ability to fix them. I watched two horrible movies today while working on the site Darkness Falls and Blue Crush (sorry Blake), I got off early today because I worked to many hours this week and my boss asked me to make sure I hit my target hours for the week and not go over. I wonder if my Aqua theme will work with Nuke 7.3? Hmmmmmmm.

Hotel reservations for Las Vegas have been made! We’ll be staying with Matt & Julie at the lovely Ballys Las Vegas. In Casey and my quest to stay at most Strip hotels in an effort to find the best ones available, we chose Ballys over the everso fabulous MGM. I know the best rooms will be at the Bellagio and Venetian but I’ll leave those for a Sunday thru Thursday stay.

Airline reservations need to be booked for Thanksgiving and Maui sometime in the next couple of months. Southwest hasn’t won’t release their fares for November till August so those will have to wait. We should have waited one more week to go to Kansas City cause now the fares are back down again but we wouldn’t have seen Donna so it was worth it. As far as Maui goes, I’d be happy to find tickets for $400 each rountrip. We’ll probably be upgrading to first class so we need to consolidate some miles and earn some more Marriott points to transfer over. It’ll be a looooonggg flight otherwise. Hopefully, rates will go down for February next month as well with it being six months out.

Work’s going well. Going back again tomorrow and get to go in later which will be nice. So I guess I’m doing somethings right.

Kelly and I were sitting here and watching “I Love the 90’s” on TiVo and I heard perhaps the greatest line EVER.
