I have only managed to archive the March posts into the database, It is tedious work.I have to insert the post into the database, then I use PHPMyAdmin to edit the timestamp so that it shows up as the proper date instead of the current time.It is gonna take me a couple of days to finish getting everything setup the way I want it.I have been looking for different modules and blocks for the PHPNuke framework.I really would like to get an RSS module so I can bring in some feeds from my fav websites.

Unfortunately this version of PHPNuke is very new so there aren’t as many modules or themes for it, as say an older version.For some reason whenever you sign up for a new account, and after the system sends out the confirmation email then link that you have to click on sometimes errors out, if it doesn’t work right away I think you can still log in.If it doesn’t work just shoot me an email and I will add you directly into the database.

So far I’m only using 19MB of my total 333Mb available to me, so I’m gonna put a lot more pictures up in the coming days/weeks.Also remember that if you want stuff to post just click on Submit News and it will store the post for review by Kelly or I.I haven’t decided if I want to have everyone have admin privileges and be able to post articles or not.The reason is if everyone is posting on everyone else’s site they don’t have anything left for their own sites.

As soon as I finish this episode of Monster Garage I’m gonna be heading off to bed, I think Kelly is already asleep, I haven’t seen her in about 20 minutes.

I got great news today. Just for the hell of it I submitted some pics to Maxim magazine for their Hometown Hotties contest…and I got selected!!! I am SO excited. They sent me forms that I have to get notorized and sent back basically saying that they won’t get in trouble for copywriting the pics and that I’m over 18. You guys HAVE to vote for me. I would LOVE you guys even more if you did. The grand prize for this contest is a modeling contest and I want it so badly. 😀

We had dinner tonight with Dave, Robyn, and Rebekah at Rocco’s Italian Restaurant. The shrimp scampi wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be (Red Lobster is better and I pretty much detest Reb Lobster), it was edible with the right amount of salt. Quoting my mom, “my name is Kelly and I’m a salt aholic.” Rebekah was being so sweet at dinner, she was smiling and just looking around…until we got our food. She finally fell asleep as I rubbed her eyebrows. That does them in everytime.

After watching Red Dragon, Casey went to the liquor store. I’ve been craving champagne (must be for the mental celebration) all night. He’s drinking Crown & Coke so should make for an interesting night after watching the rest of P.C.U. Jeremy Piven is an underestimated comedic actor. John Cusack recongines talent when he sees it.

Blake and I went tanning today again. Blake I NEED you to go tanning. You’re the best person to sit there and talk before going in. I have started getting dark too. I always put the Playboy bunnny on to gauge my tan progress, but today they were out. 🙁 I made my own makeshift bunny by tearing apart a dolphin into the shape of a bunny. It works though, you can’t tell it’s not the original. Sadly, Blake has to work tomorrow. Perhaps we’ll go see him and find out maybe why my Powerbook lid will not close completely. I’ll be tan in no time at all, just need to add some extra oomph with some accelerator. I don’t have any pride. A fake and bake tan is better than no tan. Casey even wants one now. For those of you, such as my Mom, that aren’t able to tan in the beds, tanning salons now have the mystic tan which is a 60 second spray on tan. There’s hope for all the white folk everywhere.

For those of you reading that are planning on Vegas 2003, go to Travel Axe and download the software. It will do a cost comparison of all the prices for rooms and for those of you procrastinators, you’re in LUCK, Vegas is loweing their prices. Casey and I may even have to rebook our room because of the great deals. Now we’re trying to think of somewhere to go for our 2nd anniverary. Hmmm, is Vegas going to be overkill. However, I found some great deals for the Bellagio and live like highrollers.

I found a bitchin content management system called PHPNuke, its very similar to Slash but easier to understand for a lowly programmer such as myself with very little Perl experience. I’m sure some of you are thinking why didn’t I just code it myslef (right Justin?). Well the answer is I’m just really lazy, but also because this format has tons of room for expansion. I’m really excited about playing with all the features that this site has to offer.

Perhpas the hardest part of moving to this format will be the submissons of all our old posts into the database. I will have to find a good way to do that. I hope that I am allowed to add a timestamp to all the articles that I post so I can organize them all the way back to October of last year.

We haven’t been doing much so far today. Gone to the gym and the post office, and thats about it. I will post more later once I get everything working properly.

Blake and I finally started tanning again today. It’s the first time I’ve been since last May and I need some color on me in a bad way. The tanning amigos have decided to go to the SunSpot this year. It is extremely comparable to Tan Your Hide, except much less expensive. I got an even better deal than I thought I was going to get. The locations are pretty good too, only 2 but I never used all of TYH’s 7 anyway. After we were done tanning, we came back here and Casey had prepared a tasty fried chicken dinner and we watched the last episode of the Real World Las Vegas. 🙁 Luckily, they are going to show the reunion next Tuesday so that delays our feelings of hopelessness for our lack of RW fixes this summer. Then I was flipping through the channels and found some candid camera esque show that had Melissa from RW:NO. What are the odds?

It was so nice today that we should have done more outside than just drive places. We worked out at the gym for a little over an hour today. I was on the elliptical trainer for the entire cardio part of my workout because half way through when I was getting ready to switch to the bike, some guy plopped his butt down on it. On the bright side, it gave a little variety to my workout. When our hour of cardio was up, we headed over to the machines and worked our abs out. I figure we should be working them out everyday we’re in there because we don’t do anything extra once we get home and I want Britney Spears abs. Next, we went to the commissary and picked up groceries for the next two weeks. Their produce selection is never that great so we always have to go to Target in addition to the commissary but it worked out because we had other stuff to get there too.

We purchased three DVDs at Best Buy today: Red Dragon, The Specialist, and Dazed and Confused. The last two were replacing VHS tapes so we’re making more progress there. Dazed and Confused is the only one that we’ve watched so far. Our list of DVDs still to watch is up again but we’ll get through it. I don’t think we’re going to go see any movies at the theater this weekend but I don’t know. I wouldn’t mind seeing Phone Booth because Colin Farrell is in it but who knows how that would be. Maybe we’ll just wait. April 11th, Anger Management and Bulletproof Monk come out so that’s probably going to be a theater hoppin’ day. It’s supposed to be nice again tomorrow so maybe we’ll play outside.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

Yesterday afternoon we went and saw Dreamcatcher which sucked ass. Casey and I were pretty disappointed that we paid to waste 2 1/2 hours of our life away on that piece of crap. Yes, 2 1/2 hours. There’s a lot of other things we could have seen in it’s place, not saying that any of those could have or would have been better. Word of advice, when this comes out to buy, rent it first. Casey’s read the book and seems to feel the book is superior to this movie in all ways. There were a couple of other movies playing on the side we were on, but both of us were starving from not having eaten all day so we decided to just go home. I made some tasty pork chops for dinner last night. We watched the Battle of the Sexes Challenge and Pushing Tin while we ate. We’re down to 8 movies we still need to watch but we couldn’t bring ourselves to watch one of those. New movie out today is Red Dragon. There’s a couple of others we hope are on sale at Best Buy too that we might pick up.

Only 5 more weeks to go of this semester and I’ll be done, at least for a little while. I’m pretty well caught up in both of my classes. In my geography class I only have 2 assignments and the final left to complete. As for biology, I have quite a bit more to do but everything is so time consuming that to work ahead would just burn me out and I don’t want that. I got this paper in the mail late last week from PPCC saying that to help students better prepare for the job force they were offering a specialization that you could make your degree in. Which means, as long as you’re in the right discipline (ie. AA or AS) you can pick any of the majors that they offer you for the track or nothing, even if you haven’t had any classes in that subject. I chose my AA to be with an emphasis in journalism because it was the closest thing to communications I could find and some colleges actually have you major under journalism to get a communications degree. Doesn’t make much sense, but they do. Oh well, it works for me either way.

I moved our current site over to the hosting service (generously provided by Mike, thank you again). I don’t believe you will have to update your bookmarks. I can’t seem to get the counter working that is available in the control panel of the hosting service. Earlier before I started dicking with everything we had 3333 hits to the website since October. Hopefully I can continue to use my hit stats from my domain name registration site.

Mike installed Mandrake 9.1 on an extra PC he had laying around and he is loving it. He says that he hasn’t had his Windoze machine hooked to the cable modem all day. Mike is going to take the extra Netgear router that I have here. Well its not really extra as I had both of them hooked up but I consolidated everything down to the Wireless Router. But he needs to have both of his machines networked together and allow both of them to have internet access. I really need to get going and install Mandrake on my laptop, I have been spending more time on the Linux machine then on my laptop so maybe its time to switch over finally. So we will have 2 Linux, 1 OS X, and 1 Windoze machine. I spent most of the day today setting up Samba so that it would mount my Windoze shares on boot. I finally got it figured out. I’m still having trouble trying to set up MySQL and PHP working. I took Kevin’s code from his website and he exported his database structure for me to recreate the DB on my local machine. But I still can’t figure out how to get it to work properly. I’m a total retard, but I’m learning.

We have to go grocery shopping tomorrow as we are out of just about everything, I think we will probably go after we leave the gym. Maybe it will encourage people to stay out of our way while at the Commisary.

We just got done ordering a pizza and I picked up some beer. So we are going to sit and enjoy a movie or something. We figure that since we work out 5 days a week we can go crazy on one day.

About forty-five minutes after we got up Mike called and asked if I could help him and Tina move their new table, a big heavy marble bastard, but still not as heavy as his old TV. I’m glad that his new TV is only like 100 pounds or something. I’m excited to see what they do with their house in the week before they have everyone over.

I got my pay stub in the mail today, I didn’t realize how much money I get taken out in deductions. Its probably over a thousand dollars a month. Grrrrrr. We have to pay out our asses for health insurance. Why can’t I get a job with a good insurance plan, someplace that doesn’t bend me over every pay period. now while I can’t complain to much cause I haven’t worked a single day since October 16 of last year, and have gotten paid for every single day.

I was reading through Kevin and Mike’s code for their websites today, I can’t believe how long it has been since I have coded anything, I felt like a total idiot. I can’t even figure out how to configure Apache or MySQL on my Linux machine. I’m dumb.

I have to start marinating my T-Bones for tomorrow soon, except that they are still frozen. We are having an early birthday party for Grandpa tomorrow so I’m gonna be cooking steaks for everyone on the grill tomorrow. It should be tasty.

I was trying to do some work with The GIMP last night and make some images for Justin to throw up on a website he is doing. It has been quite some time since I have done any image work in GIMP. Probably since I was in the Air Force. I sent him a batch of images that I made, I admit that they weren’t very good, but I will try again later.

It is gonna take me awhile before I can pay for a hosting service for the new layout of the website, so any work that I do now will only be for a future date.
