GRRRRRRRRRRRR

I can’t believe the stupidity of some people. This dipshit that lives downstairs from us (see previous post) was shooting beer cans off of his deck railing with a pellet gun. This clown was inside his apartment shooting at the cans that were outside. The way our apartments are situated there is a building directly behind our building and up a slight incline. Basically this dumbass was shooting into peoples windows in the next building. I can’t believe it. I would go down there and beat this guys ass if I knew I wouldn’t get arrested.

Also there are some strange things afoot with my hits today. We recieved 54 hits today our third highest ever we normally only recieve anywhere from 15-20 hits a day. OK I’m done for the day, oh wait got a pic to post check it out here.

I’m gonna kill somebody

I really shouldn’t be allowed to drive. I’m going to kill someone one of these days, I’m just going to slam my car into them because they piss me off. If I owned a gun there would be dead bodies left in my wake. We drove to Dillon today on the other side of the Continental Divide to test the truck out, and everything went OK, we may need a new thermostat but other then that everything is fixed on the truck. So the trip is about two hours each way, everyone was pissing me off today, people cutting me off or riding my ass. “I’m doing 85 ASSHOLE what more do you want!” Grrrrrrrr. I’m ready to kick in the door of our downstairs neighbor and march into his apartment and rip his face off and wipe my ass with it, just because he parks crooked in the parking lot, sometimes double parking. I’m so mad right now. I need a drink.

I always think of Days of Thunder when I’m driving, my favorite line is “He hit me!!” “No he rubbed you, and rubbings racing”.

Old Navy here we come!

Even though we’re sleeping in today on our off day from the gym, we still are getting up early than our pre-gym days. Like they were so long ago. We’re planning on driving to the western slope and having lunch somewhere. We’re gonna test out the 4Runner and make sure it’s up for going places. I hope so! I looked at the weather and it’s supposed to be like 40 degrees cooler on the other side. That doesn’t go over with me very well. Maybe we can just drive over, turn around and eat lunch in Denver. I got another Express gift certificate in the mail and I got an e-mail stating that if I spent $50, I got another $25 gift certificate. That’s so nice. We need to go to Old Navy because summer is approaching and Casey only has two pairs of shorts. Old Navy’s prices beat everywhere else, even Wal-Mart, Target, and Kohls. The chick that rang up my purchases last weekend also told me that if they lowered their price within 30 days, I could bring in my receipt and get the difference back. I’m keeping that receipt in my purse. They’ve already lowered one thing my $4.50. Give me my money!

Yesterday we started out my getting up and going to the gym. We got on the bikes for a little while, then moved on to the machines. Ooh. Casey was pushing me trying to make me work harder. I can feel it in certain body parts today. He says he’s getting me in shape to carry more groceries up the stairs but it’s probably because I’m flabby and he won’t tell me. I so need to get my tanning membership. I’m pretty set on the Sun Spot now. I just have this connection with Tan Your Hide. Memories. After the gym, we went to the commissary and stocked up. We stopped by the Blockbuster on Airport to see if they had any previously viewed DVDs for a good price but they didn’t. Their selection of VHS was twice the size of DVDs. Guess cause it’s in the ghetto. We went to my parent’s hosue last night and Casey made dinner. I whipped up a batch of cornbread but it wasn’t Jiffy cornbread so didn’t taste quite as good. After dinner, we watched The Wedding Planner. I get so annoyed with Jennifer Lopez when Matthew says he wants her but I guess they have to keep the movie going for a little longer and then end up together. We came home watched Ace Ventura Pet Detective and then Howard Stern. For those of you Real World Las Vegas fans that don’t already know this, MTV will be releasing the full season on DVD on 5/20/03.

Boreing

ust sitting here watching a movie, not much else going on. I put a new stat tracker on our website and I was looking at the stats try to see who was visiting my site most often. I think I have Justin’s IP information figured out plus he has two machines one with XP and the other with Windows 2000. Trace route is a fun tool.

We went to the gym this morning, then over to the Commissary to do some grocery shopping. We should have enough food in the fridge/ freezer to last another two weeks now. I also got paid today, it was a pretty light check since we only had 72 hours on it.

There is a Real World Las Vegas Marathon this evening, it started at 9:00 and is running until about 3:30 am. I have the PVR set up to record the whole thing so I can catch up on everything.

I think we are still planning on going to Dillon or Frisco tomorrow for lunch and to test the transmission on the truck to see how it handles mountain driving.

Overpriced?

Another day another dollar, or something like that. We bought 4 more DVDs today plus we got one in the mail from Columbia House. We have been putting off buying their overpriced DVDs for as long as we can, now we have to buy they in order to fulfill our obligation. So we are looking for the ones that are about the same price as Best Buy so we don’t end up paying 26 dollars for a 14 dollar movie.

Gonna give my legs a rest at the gym tomorrow, when we got home today I was just hobbling along. We will probably just do weight training tomorrow, then start all over again on Monday morning.

We have a pantload of packages sitting on our coffee table that we have to send out tomorrow. Hopefully we won’t have another incident like we had when I sent Justin his last package.

After we got showered and everything this morning following our trip to the gym, we went over to Kelly’s folks house so I could change a burned out tail light, and adjust the aim of our headlights. We ended up being over there for the better part of the afternoon. What a beautiful day it was today, I only wish that it was staying a little warmer at night so Kelly and I could go camping. I’m hoping that we can go down to Blue Mesa again this summer. Maybe Kevin and Rachel can go, although I don’t know if they would want to take Caylie camping when she is less then a year old.

I noticed today that Kevin is posting more now that he is in New Mexico on business. I’m probably going to be the same way. Even Justin pointed out that there isn’t much going on right now, thus he has slacked off on his posting duties. I will have to get a new Earthlink dial-up account before I go traveling again. Although I have read that many Marriott’s across the country are implementing WiFi 802.11b in their hotels, but at a cost. Justin and I came across several hotels that gave free you free high-speed connections in your rooms, now that was nice. I hate dial-up. I would rather sell one of my kidneys then go back to dial-up. But I will have to cancel my Usenet service while I am traveling, cause I won’t be here to download anything.

I think we are going to watch a few movies tonight. I have Swimfan on deck, with 23 more waiting on the shelf that we still haven’t watched since we purchased them. So we had better start watching them.

Workout Day 2

Yawn

Day two of working out. We did basically the same workout that we did yesterday, we are still having trouble getting up in a timely manner to get out the door, but we did better then yesterday. On the return trip home we stopped at Super Target and scored some stuff to make lunch. I also picked up some batteries to throw into my Handspring. Justin (the non-posting fool) has his working now, so I thought that I should get mine back up and running.

I actually have spent most of the time since returning from the gym organizingplaylists on the iPod to match all the albums that we have on there. That only took about 4 HOURS. But now they are mostly organized. I still wish there was an ID3 tag editor that had a little built in intelligence. Or at least have it integrated into your shell. Say you highlight a bunch of MP3s with no tag, but they all have the same artist and album name, if you could just right click, bring up a small menu input the info, and have the program automagically update all those songs, that would cut the time needed to do a collection of my size down considerably. I like iTunes and all but the ID3 tag editor isn’t very fast, but it does lookup and autofill names as you type them and that is a plus. I imagine this could be done in perl….. hmmmmmmmm, perhaps its time I get my hands dirty. Perhaps Kevin could help me out a bit with direction.

I noticed that Pearl Jam is playing at the “Can” on April 1. NEXT MONTH!!! How could I let this slip buy me, here it is almost the middle of March and I didn’t know about this. I’m slipping in my old age. Plus the Summer Sanitarium Tour is on-sale also, but for Kelly and I alone we would probably drop about 200 bones for two tickets. But you can’t beat the lineup, although I have seen all the bands before at separate concerts. How I wish to see the Deftones again.

We bought 8 DVDs yesterday from Best Buy and Blockbuster, if you are looking for really good deals on DVDs, swing by Blockbuster because they are having there buy 2 get one free sale, and most titles are 14.99 and less we scored Barbershop, Bad Company, and Changing Lanes all movies that cost around 20 a piece at Best Buy.

OK we have to go pick up Kelly’s glasses and do some more running around before this evening.

The Gym Day 1

Today was our first day going to the gym. I really hope we stick with this because I am so out of shape and want to tone up. I got another $15 gift certificate in the mail. One went to my parent’s house and one to mine. I can’t complain about that. I wonder how long I can keep that up. That’s $30 of free merchandise. Nice! I talked to Randi for over an hour tonight. She’s planning on coming out in May for a week. For Carlee and Ashley’s birthdays they are going to have a joint baby pool party. Isn’t that the cutest? Blake was the only one that joined us for Real World, not that we’re complaining. It’s always a pleasure when he makes time for us (wink). Off to bed now, if we don’t turn in earlier from now on, we’re never going to be able to keep exercising. We almost didn’t go this morning. 9:15 is way too early for us. G’night.

Finally..

The 4Runner has finally made it up to Denver! Thanks Marvin! We’re going to use the money that we would have had to fix the truck (again) with to pay off another credit card. We’ll be almost debt free! There are so many other things we could be buying. While in Denver, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to eat at Baja Fresh Mexican Grille. It was tasty, as always. We enjoyed listening to our iPod on the way up there. Once we get new speakers, we’ll be set. We’re both ready to take it somewhere and put it to the test…again. Maybe it’s truly fixed this time. We can only hope so.

Battle of the Sexes was not on tonight so we just watched random shows and The Big Hit. We’re getting ready to go to bed pretty soon because we’re getting up early to go to the gym. I’m ready to get started! Good night for now.

New Toy

Man I have been lazy. I haven’t posted in almost 3 days. We haven’t really been doing much. I barbequed some chicken on Saturday, and we watched City By The Sea (bleh, super slow). Then today the whole family went to On The Border for lunch for grandma’s birthday, once again bleh, with 9 people ordering food, it all came out cold and we had really shitty service to boot.

But then Kelly and I went over to CompUSA and picked up a 10GB iPod for Windows. They were out of the Mac version so when we got home I looked into converting it over. I hooked it to the Powerbook and OS X mounted it as it would any attached storage device, not as an iPod. But it did sync with iTunes. I contemplated leaving it formatted as FAT32 so I could use it on my laptop and the Powerbook, but I read that by formatting it as HFS+ I would get a huge speed improvement. So I downloaded the iPod Updater from Apple.com and ran it. It formatted it to HFS+ then it synced with iTunes and WOW it was a huge speed improvement. Plus I copied over Kelly’s Address Book, and her iCal Calender both of which the iPod supports well, although I wish it did it automagically instead of having to copy it all over by hand. Maybe there is an app that does it and I just don’t know it.

We also purchased some new shoes this weekend so next week we are going to start going to the gym, perhaps not tomorrow because I’m waiting on a call from my boss to have my yearly review, but sometime this week. I’m just going to sit my fat ass on a bike or a treadmill until I pass out.

I wonder if anyone would be willing to buy my laptop so I can score a 15 inch Powerbook. Hmmmmmmm.

We are watching Bourne Identity right now, its a bitchin movie based on a bitchin book. I still have to read the Bourne Supremacy which is the second book in the Bourne Trilogy.

Some news on the job front

I’m just sitting here trying to clean out my NEWSGROUP drive on my PVR. I filled it up, so I had to cull it down a bit. I’m pretty sure that we are going over to Kevin and Rachel’s this evening. I think Friends is a rerun so maybe we will watch Jackass the Movie.

I finally got some info on my job. Looks like training well start in April sometime, with 3 Pilot sites to be installed first in California. I’m hoping that they keep the team numbers to around 3 because if they are as high as 6 people will never get to work on the servers, and that would suck.

I hooked Kelly’s Powerbook up to the 21 inch monitor the other evening, and it worked flawlessly as a dual headed machine, had 1024 X 768 on the laptop, and 1600 X 1200 on the 21 inch. Now that is some screen real estate.

We bought quite a few movies yesterday after leaving the eye doctors. We picked up The Osbournes Season One, The Doors Special Edition, Good Morning Vietnam, GI Jane, and Desperado. So I think we are up to 309 or something like that. We actually watched most of them last night. I’m going to watch some of the Osbournes, sometime today.

OK off to go check the mail.
