I like Monster Garage

3 hours of Monster Garage. What a great day. I think I’m going to burn these off for my Dad I think he would dig this show. Now we are watching Howard Stern, we usually watch it every night since we don’t get to hear him on the radio.

Now that I’m out of a job the hunt is on. I wrote the person that heads up the contract that I was on today, and asked her what the deal is. I think my company is trying to get rid of me because they don’t want to pay for my reinvestigation. It is pretty shady business practices but what can you do. Hopefully I can use this time to get some skool or certifications done.

We had guacamole and chips and a pitcher of margaritas for dinner, actually I had the pitcher of margaritas and some chips and guacamole. I think Kelly may have only had a glass and a half of margaritas.

Kelly is working on her resume now, she is trying to rewrite it to include her OSX software experience. I think both of us are looking for jobs on the west coast, I wouldn’t mind moving closer to the beach. Ahhhhh sitting on the beach with a beer in my hand.

I beat Splinter Cell today. It wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. I think it only took me about 5 days to beat, now I have to play Unreal 2 to see what kind of damage I can do. We purchased two DVDs today. Good Will Hunting was down to 14.99 so we picked that up. And we also got Total Recall. We are still trying to replace our existing VHS tapes. So now the count is up to 304 movies on DVD. But I can’t believe that it is so difficult to still find a movie.

Tomorrow The Osbournes Season 1 DVD comes out and it is only 15 bones at Best Buy. I’m pretty excited to watch it in all its uncensored glory. It is going to be a great time.

Hmmmmmmmmmm I can’t think of anything else.

Dreamweaver for OSX

Casey installed Dreamweaver on my laptop so that I can post more often. Yesterday afternoon, I spent working on my resume and cover letter. I’m not completely finished but I found some templates and got some good ideas for how I want to phrase things and lay them out. Hopefully it’ll pay off. We went over to my parent’s house for dinner and a movie. While Casey was grilling steaks, my mom dyed my hair. Grandma bought strawberries, whipped cream, and angel food cake so that made for a tasty dessert while watching Chicago. It turned out to be a pretty good movie. I was expecting it to be a little more like Moulin Rouge but overall I think there was great choreography and it was entertaining. When we got home we watched the premier of the Anna Nicole Smith show which was pretty disappointing and unoriginal. The previews for next week looked a lot funnier. Right now we’re watching the 13th Warrior. Here’s hoping that tonight Marvin will be able to take a look at the 4runner and figure out what’s wrong with it so we can fix it.

Is it really March?

I can’t believe that it’s already March. This year has been going by so fast. I can’t wait for October. I was helping my mom tonight look for hotels for Nicky and family so that they can join us. It took both of us searching but we finally found one. I am so excited that they are going to come out. They are even going to stay longer than originally anticipated. For those of you that are joining us, you need to make your reservations soon because rooms are filling up fast and you don’t want to be paying out the ass for a room at the last minute. Or at least I don’t. It is going to be an awesome trip. I just wish it was sooner. Damnit mom, why couldn’t I have been premature. We were joking tonight that, had I been premature I might not have broke her tailbone during labor. Oops!

My mom finished up her bachelor’s degree on Friday night. She turned in her last assignment while we were over there. I’m so proud of her for getting it done. Now she can take a much needed break. I know she’s relieved to have her life back. Congratulations! She’s going to walk in her graduation ceremony which will be held in Denver the first part of May. John said he’s going to try and come out for it!!!

Yesterday, we went to my parent’s house for Alex’s 4th birthday party. His actual birthday is not until Wednesday but he doesn’t know the difference. There were 6 screaming kids that were there for two hours. Agh! Luckily, there were enough adults there for us to not go completely insane. I got to see Christine for the first time in awhile. She went and got her hair cut and colored today and it looks really good. It started snowing while we were over there, so we headed home. It seemed to be snowing pretty heavily but it’s only accumulated about 2 inches. Not the storm that we need. It has been snowing almost every few days for a little bit, not as good as rain but anything helps.

This afternoon we just came home and chilled. Casey played his game while I did not a whole lot. Just reading webpages and taking a nap. Gotta have my 10 hours of beauty sleep a night, if not I need a nap. We watched a couple of movies, Howard Stern, the Anna Nicole Smith show (season 2 premiers tonight), and now we’re gonna head to bed shortly.

What an Exciting Life

I have been reading a blog that Justin turned me on to, and this guy is getting hits by adding text strings that will gain hits on Google. He takes some of the searches from this page. And puts them onto his site. And Google returns his page as a matching site pretty slick. I’m going to try it.

We are watching Conspiracy Theory right now, and we just finished watching Interview with the Vampire. Justice League will be on shortly, but I have the PVR scheduled to record it.

Tomorrow we are going over to Kelly’s folks house tomorrow to watch a movie, and eat some steaks. I don’t get to use my grill that often so I really love to use it. Mmmm strip steaks and a baked potato.

I’m just being lame, I don’t really have anything to say.

I like vampires

“Do psycho’s explode when sunlight hits them?”

Just figured that I would post before I went to bed. We just got done watching The Tuxedo, and From Dusk Til Dawn. You know we have over 300 movies, and I can’t find a single movie that I really want to watch. I mean I love all the movies that we own, but its tough to find something that we haven’t seen recently.

Today was my one year anniversary at my current position. I’m hoping to score a decent pay raise, Justin thinks that it may be as low as 3% which would only be around 70 cents or something like that. I’m hoping for at least a buck or so, I mean my company is probably making a pantload of money off of us. At least they could give us a couple more dollars an hour.

I played Splinter Cell for quite a while today. That is a bitchin game, but it is very difficult. It is much harder then Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty. You can’t find any ammo or anything, but the stealth tactics of this game are much better.

Alright its time to go to bed.

Driving to Denver Part 1

So the new transmission is in the truck, and Kelly and I tried to go drive to
Denver to go to Baja Fresh Mexican Grill. We got about as far as Larkspur when
something started to go wrong. The transmission was acting like it was coming
out of Overdrive and wouldn’t shift back up to a higher gear. So we turned around
and came back home. We did stop at La Casita on the way back here. It isn’t nearly
as good as Baja Fresh but it was OK.

We watched About a Boy, and now we are watching this evenings episodes of Seinfeld.
After this we are going to watch The Road to Perdition.

The website was down for a quite awhile today. Adelphia is so unreliable. If I
could get this kind of bandwidth with DSL I would probably be using that.

We are having some real trouble with Kelly’s Powerbook and the wireless network.
Right now I have the hard line in it now so it is wired directly to the router.
I tried rebooting it but to no avail. I don’t know what it is, could it be that
the Airport Extreme card is going out, or its getting hot and malfunctioning.
The Powerbook does get hot enough to keep you warm on those cold cold nights,
but don’t you think that Apple would have tested for this type of scenario?

Now all my computers are freaking out. My damn PVR is going crazy my TV application
is locked up and I can’t kill it. IT JUST WON’T DIE!!! So right now I’m rebooting
it. I finally created a .bat file today that I scheduled to shut down the computer
every night after Howard Stern is over. So that should keep the computer from
running all night long. I wish there was an auto boot-up though, that would be
really nice. When Kelly and I are away I could schedule boot-up and shut down
and not have to worry about blowing another power supply while I’m gone.

OK off to watch a movie.
